Lost Theatre presents
5min Festival 2010
We live in an age when no-one has time. Average viewers spend 3 to 7 minutes on an internet video. Advertisers get whole stories into 30 seconds. The Reduced Shakespeare Company squeezed the bard’s works into 70 minutes. Hamlet thought brevity the soul of wit, the Japanese that haiku was the highest form of art. LOST has selected fourteen 5 minute plays to demonstrate just how much theatre can be made in 5 minutes.
The Festival’s programme incorporates an exciting variety of genres and themes, and will give us a valuable insight into the next generation of playwrights and directors.
On Saturday 18th September you will have the chance to watch 14 brand new 5 minute plays making a varied and different theatrical experience.
