Forthcoming Shows

The LOST Theatre Company presents

“Summer Season 2010”

“3 exciting directors, 3 talented young casts...3 excellent productions.”

This Summer sees LOST continuing the company's practice of only casting actors & actresses of 27 years of age or under directed by highly regarded industry professionals. LOST present a vibrant second season in our new, purpose built home.

First James Farrell will direct ‘The Government Inspector’ by Nikolai Gogol. A satirical play that exposes the ridiculous, and often unscrupulous, pretence that local government undertakes in order to appear effective to its superiors.

Then we will see Leigh Tredgers energetic and provocative version of Henrik Ibsen's 'Peer Gynt'. A fantastic journey where we will meet seductive maidens, troll kings and ugly brats, visit insane asylums, spicy lands and misty heaths.

Closing the season will be a brand new version of 'Troilus & Cressida' adapted & directed by Adrian Brown. This will be a cross-cast production of Shakespeares ancient tale of savage comedy, great passion, vivid characters and all the heat and sweat of a long and painful campaign.

a short, serious comedy by Alan Moorhouse

When salesman Bill is trapped in a lift with the cause of his latest commercial failure, it forces a re-evaluation of their lives. See Bill (Alan Moorhouse) and Jim (Brian Gillett) pool their philosophies and pet hates to elevate themselves.

The Atre Company is a newly formed theatre company, from Hook, Hampshire; brainchild of Alan Moorhouse. A veteran amateur actor/producer/director, Alan formed the company after visiting the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2009. He boldly decided that he could muster his theatrical experience and contacts to create fringe productions to exceed what he had seen in relevance to everyday modern life. Uplifting is the first such production.

Uplifting has already previewed at the Bath Fringe in May and will transfer to the Edinburgh Festival at Radisson Spaces on the Mile, (Venue 36), High St. Edinburgh, on 23rd-28th August 2010.
