'Medea' by Euripedes (Translated by James Morwood) directed by Jamie Rocha Allan

 

 

Jamie Allan will direct ‘Medea by Euripides (translated by James Morwood). In a world where the gods are all powerful, impotent, or simply absent, an all female chorus gather to the sound of a haunting soundtrack to tell the tale they have told a thousand times before, and play the parts of the vengeful Medea and her once heroic Jason, who has abandoned her for the arms of a younger Queen.

 

'The Ghost Train' by Arnold Ridley directed by Guy Unsworth

 

 

Then we will see Guy Unsworth’s take on the 1925 classic “Ghost Train” by Arnold Ridley. A comedy-thriller in which six passengers find themselves in a train station waiting room having missed their connection. It is a dark and stormy night, and warnings of the “ghost train” make their wait longer and longer.

 

Anthony Burgess' 'A Clockwork Orange' directed by Paul Taylor Mills

 

 

Closing the season will be a Anthony Burgess’ “A Clockwork Orange” directed by Paul Taylor-Mills. Enter the future.

Meet Alex and his Droogs. Taste the Milk. Fifteen-year-old Alex enjoys ultra-violence and Beethoven’s Ninth. He and his gang rampage through a dystopian future, hunting for terrible thrills. But when Alex finds himself at the mercy of the state and subject to the ministrations of Dr Brodsky, the government psychologist, he discovers that fun is no longer the order of the day...
