British American Drama Academy (BADA)

www.badaonline.com

The British American Drama Academy (BADA) was founded in 1984 to enable students from around the world to study classical theatre with leading actors and directors of the British stage.

BADA has been a close friend of LOST's for a few years now. Exchanging ideas, ethics & ventures (as well as borrowing the odd prop from each other too!!). LOST were very pleased to host BADA's Spring 2010 shows at our venue and were astounded by the quality of all 3 performances, but especially with the quality and work of the young performers that train there. We look forward to working with them in the future

Through workshops, courses and partnerships with schools & organisations across the country; The National Literacy trust campaign to improve public understanding of the vital importance and impact of literacy. We use careful, targeted communication to encourage individuals in most need of support to understand the importance of literacy in their lives and to inspire them to overcome their own anxieties or prejudices about literacy.

In July 2010 LOST are happy to open our building to the trusts 'Words for Works' project which will bring together Year 9 pupils (13 and 14-year-olds) and volunteers from the business community to explore the use of speaking and listening skills in the workplace and impact on them through a series of creative workshops.

OffWestEnd.com

Off West End theatres play a very important role in London and in society as a whole - important on stage in taking risks to push the boundaries of live performance, important for the audience in entertaining the intellect and stretching the imagination and, most of all, important as a breeding ground for new talent and new ideas that feed into our culture, reinventing and reinvigorating us.

OffWestEnd.com puts as much information about its theatres and their performances as possible together in one easy-to-use place. As our hope is to allow all members to promote themselves and their plays equally, there are no costs to any of the theatres to appear on the website. They also do not pay any fees or commissions for ticket sales so the theatres are able to sell tickets directly to customers. What's more, customers have free use of the site, paying nothing for tickets or usage. We think that's a pretty good deal for everybody!
